“Creating a Brighter Future One Superstar at a Time”

Principal’s Message:

Dear Stork Families,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the new school year of 2013-2014! Our dedicated staff has been working diligently to prepare for another great year. At Stork Elementary, we strive to provide our students with the best educational experiences by creating a safe, positive learning environment, by providing rigorous standards-based instruction, by using the state adopted materials, and by ensuring that the individual needs of each and every student are met. Our highly trained and qualified staff members collaborate and share best practices on a regular basis through Professional Learning Communities in an effort to meet the needs of students at all levels. Student safety, academic achievement, and building character are the top priorities for our Superstars.

Keeping this in mind, it is through a strong home and school partnership that we are able to achieve such high standards and provide the best learning opportunities for our students at Stork. We welcome parents and family members to become involved in your child’s education in any capacity that you can. There are a variety of ways to become involved such as joining our Parent Faculty Student Association (P.F.S.A.), volunteering in your child’s classroom, attending school events/assemblies, helping with your child’s homework, and by communicating with your child’s teacher on a regular basis. Stork school is fortunate to have such a hardworking Parent Faculty Student Association that is dedicated to supporting and enriching the learning opportunities for our students. We encourage you to become involved with the P.F.S.A. by attending the monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m.

We take great pride in celebrating student successes within the classroom, during assemblies, and on the playground. You are welcome to join us for our Superstar Assemblies as we honor our Superstars of the Week, Writer’s of the Month, Principal’s Awards, Accelerated Reader Awards, and Random Acts of Kindness Awards. Superstar Assembly dates and times will be posted in the newsletter and on our website. We look forward to seeing you there!

I look forward to working with you to provide the best educational opportunities for your child!

Sincerely,
