    English Language Services 

    The Alta Loma School District is focused on providing support to our English Language Learners through direct services in the classroom, outside of the classroom, as well as Professional development for teachers and English Language Development Instructional Aides.  Professional development, Instructional Coaching, and Support Services for students align with the new ELA/ ELD Framework. 

    Two blended learning programs are available for qualified students to access both at school and at home. Students are provided an individual log-in by the school site English Language Development Aide, or classroom teacher. Both programs can be accessed from home.  Please note:

    Language Level I & II students:        Imagine Learning

    Language Level III & IV students:     LexiaCore5

     

    For non-English speaking students, the school site will provide a tablet for translation use during the school day.

    District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) consists of parents who have EL students in the district who meet to represent the interests of their students. 

    DELAC meetings will be held at the District Support Center at 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:

    August 27th    October 21st     February 17th     April 14th
