Narrative on our "Model Program/Practices" of Vineyard's Viking Tiered System of Supports

Vineyard’s Mission Statement is to provide a safe, positive, collaborative learning environment focused on high expectations of staff, students, and families through a rigorous standards based curriculum while emphasizing positive behavior and outstanding character through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports in order to achieve academic success and personal excellence. As we embark upon our Viking voyage, we continuously refine our vision to meet the individual academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning needs of our students through a Viking Tiered System of Supports. Through a shared responsibility and partnership between home and school, staff and parents work collaboratively to create a learning environment that promotes intellectual and social development, prepares students for college and career, and inspires learners for a lifetime of success in a global society.

Vineyard Junior High strategically implemented the Viking Tiered System of Supports (VTSS) with the belief that all students can be successful in their academic endeavors, behavioral growth, and social-emotional development. See below for the overview and narrative of our "Model Program/Practices".
