As you may be aware, school districts have been notified that they will receive at-home tests for students provided by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). A specific date for availability has not been confirmed but will be provided once we have been given that information.
Tests will be made available to families as needed, and families are encouraged to use these tests to help ensure a safe start to the new year after students return from the holiday break. There is no requirement to perform tests or to present a negative test to return to school, but CDPH and the Alta Loma School District (ALSD) strongly encourage the use of tests as needed.
When tests become available, families will receive specific information regarding the registration process for at-home testing. Before families use the tests they will sign up in the Primary Health System, which is the system used to report testing results. To register and report testing results for your students, please use this link https://my.primary.health/l/caschools and select student registration.
Testing kits will contain two tests per box and are to be used for students. These tests are nasal tests, performed by the student or with assistance from a family member, and provide results in under 30 minutes. Please view the following link for instructions on how to perform these tests and report the results. https://vimeo.com/656781186
We appreciate your efforts to ensure that emerging safety protocols are utilized for our students as we welcome them back for the new year.
