Clever
Nearly all the sites we use in 3rd grade can be accessed through the ALSD Clever platform. Students only need to enter their username and password once and then will be connected to each site.
For example:
Student: Johnny Appleseed graduates HS in 2027
Username: JAppleseed2027@altalomasd.com
Password: Student lunch number

If I send you a message on Class Dojo can other parents see it?
Posted by:NOOOOOO!!!!!
I can send group messages and usually address them with "Hey G203 Families" but your responses to that message are private between you and me.
If I send messages directly to you, I usually address your child by name and your response is still private between you and me.
If you comment on our class stories, those are NOT private and others can see those comments.

Do I have to sign up for Class Dojo?
Posted by:Absolutely NOT!!! This is something that i highly recommend because I post video tutorials, class projects, class interactions and send updates mostly via this app. It is also the quickest way to get a response from me.
BUT You can simply use the Infinite Campus or email for communication and I will respond within 24 hours.

Will there be nightly homework?
Posted by:Yes AND No... I highly recommend that students read each night and that they are reading from a chapter book BUT there are NO reading logs to complete or turn in. Students can work on the ELA and Math skills using our district-approved Freckle site and any of the math skills sites I will use in class (99Math, Xtramath, Prodigy).
However, I do not assign nightly homework and I am happy to discuss this in further details if needed.
