Welcome Warriors! ¡Bienvenidos!

I am Ms. Alvarez and I am so excited to be your intro to Spanish/Spanish 1 teacher here at Alta Loma Jr. High! Like many of you, this is my first year here at the school! I know it can be a nerve-racking experience starting in a new environment or just doing things in a different way than you are used to. My hope is that I can guide you and welcome you into making this year a great one! We are in this together! I attended Cal State San Bernardino and received my Bachelor’s degrees in Hispanic Cultural Studies, as well as Hispanic literature, language, and civilization. I received my teaching credential & Master’s degree in Education from National University. In my free time I love to stay active and go on bike rides, hikes, play soccer, hangout with friends, or watch sports! I also really love to travel! I hope I can give you all the gift of learning a new language so that you can use it as a key to “unlock the world”!
