Alta Loma School District elementary schools will host parents and family members for annual parent-teacher conferences Nov. 7-16.
There will be no conferences on Monday, Nov. 12, because schools will be closed in observation of Veterans Day.
“Parent-teacher conferences are the most important events of the year for families because they get the invaluable one-on-one time with their child’s teacher,” said ALSD Superintendent James Moore. “School has been in session for three months, which allows teachers to adequately assess how students are doing and how parents can best help them moving forward. It’s also a great opportunity for parents and teachers to get to know each other in a positive and informal environment.”
Schools will move to a modified schedule during the conference period for first through sixth grades. Kindergarten schedules remain unchanged.
Classes will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. at Jasper, Carnelian, Floyd M. Stork and Alta Loma Elementary schools.
Banyan, Deer Canyon, Hermosa and Victoria Groves Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.
Conferences are typically scheduled before and after classes begin each day. Parents should confirm with individual teachers about meeting times.
