District Retirees to be Honored at May 15 School Board Meeting

 The Alta Loma School District Board of Trustees will honor at its May 15 meeting 24 employees who have either retired mid-year or are retiring by the end of the current school year.

 The outgoing teachers, administrators and staff members have a collective 649 years of service—or an average of 27 years apiece. Lead custodian Ron Trejo tops all with 44 years working for the Alta Loma School District, while teachers Lynne “Buzz” Teter and Michael Vicino are retiring after 40 and 37 years of service, respectively. Ten employees are retiring after working at least 30 years with the district.

 The Board of Trustees meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the District Support Center at 9390 Base Line Road in Alta Loma. The following retirees are scheduled to be honored at the meeting. The list is subject to change.

Michael Vicino, 37 years, teacher

Melinda Early, 36 years, associate superintendent, educational services

Arthur Vale, 34 years, lead custodian

Michael Velasquez, 34 years, lead custodian

Judith Bach, 32 years, assistant principal, Vineyard Junior High

Jane Grijalva, 32 years, school clerk

Steven Reyes, 31 years, teacher

Joan Goedel, 30 years, teacher

Carolyn Baird, 29 years, transportation

Marianne Mikusky, 28 years, school secretary

Daina Shaffer, 25 years, administrative assistant to the superintendent and board of trustees

Terry Goedel, 24 years, teacher

Zoraida Kresner, 22 years, special education, instructional aide

Karen Pinedo, 21 years, child care assistant

DeeAnne Wilcox, 21 years, teacher
