Welcome back to a new season of learning at Deer Canyon! As we continue the 2025–26 school year, our theme, “Make This Year a Hit!”, reminds us that true success comes from steady growth, clear goals, and a shared commitment to learning.

Across classrooms, our teachers are intentionally focusing on clearly defined learning targets so students understand what they are learning, why it matters, and how they can show progress. When students know their goals, they are better able to take ownership of their learning, reflect on their growth, and build confidence in their abilities. This focus helps ensure that every student is making meaningful academic progress throughout the year.

High-quality, engaging instruction remains at the core of our work. Students are being challenged to think deeply, collaborate with peers, and apply their learning in meaningful ways. We continue to support academic growth alongside social and emotional development through our PBIS SOAR values: Safe, Organized, Achieving Excellence, and Respecting Ourselves and Others. These habits support perseverance, responsibility, and a positive learning mindset.
