Principal's Message

Dear Hermosa Families,
As we reach the midpoint of our school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate how far our students have come and to thank you for being such an important part of our school community. This year’s theme, “Go for the Gold,” has truly come to life in our classrooms, hallways, and daily learning.
Our students have worked hard to develop strong academic skills, build positive relationships, and show perseverance when learning feels challenging. From growth in reading and math to thoughtful discussions, creative projects, and acts of kindness, our Huskies are showing what it means to strive for their personal best. Every day, we see them going for the gold by setting goals, learning from mistakes, and supporting one another.
None of this progress happens without partnership. Your encouragement at home, communication with teachers, and support of school expectations make a tremendous difference. Together, we are helping our students build confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning that will last far beyond this school year.
Looking ahead, we are excited about all that is still to come! The second half of the year will bring new learning opportunities, special events, and continued growth for every child. We will keep challenging our students to push themselves, celebrate their achievements, and remember that effort and determination are what truly earn “gold.”
Thank you for being such a vital part of our school family. Let’s continue to work together, cheer our students on, and make the rest of this year a successful and memorable one. The best is yet to come. We are ready to “Go for the Gold” all the way to the finish line!
With gratitude and excitement,
Go Huskies!
