An interdistrict transfer is a request for a student in grades TK-8 to transfer between the Alta Loma School District and a school districted located outside of the Alta Loma School District boundaries.
Interdistrict transfer requests must be obtained from the student’s district of residence in order to request release. Once completed, the transfer request should be submitted to the Alta Loma School District Student Services Department for review and approval.
Students who currently have an approved interdistrict transfer do not need to reapply each year unless they are requesting placement at a different school. Families are required to submit a new interdistrict transfer application if the student relocates out of their home district or is changing schools within the Alta Loma School District.
For example: a new application is required when a student transitions to junior high between the fifth and sixth grade years.
