The attached map shows the flow of traffic for drop off and pick up at Vineyard Junior High for the 2025-2026 school year. Thank you for your patience as we help families adjust to this new drop off and pick up procedure.
On Mayberry Ave. or Highland Ave. there is no double parking or parking next to the sidewalk. Students dropped off on the street must be in the lane closest to the sidewalk for safety so students will not be crossing in front of moving vehicles. There are crosswalks where Highland/Alta Loma Dr. and Mayberry meet and at the intersection of Highland and Hermosa.
Both driveways on Mayberry Ave. are entrance only. The North Mayberry entrance is for handicapped access only.
The South Mayberry entrance will be an entrance to access the bus lane. This driveway will be an entrance only. Traffic will move westbound and students may be dropped off in the bus lane. Students must be dropped off in the lane closest to the sidewalk for safety so students will not be crossing in front of moving vehicles. Drivers are not allowed to park, double-park or wait in the bus lane.
The driveway on Highland on the West side of the parking lot (south of the school) will be an exit only. Drivers dropping off students in the bus lane will exit on Highland Ave. and must make a right turn.
We will also open the gate on Hermosa Ave. (north of the intersection) for drop off and pick-up. Students will walk down the ramp and across the lower field near the solar panel to the main quad.
Students may be dropped off at VJH at 7:30 am and will enjoy free breakfast and time with their friends in the main quad and lunch area. Traffic is busiest between 7:45 - 7:55 am! The bell rings for students to be in class at 7:55 am and the tardy bell rings at 8:00 am.
Pick up is also extremely busy, if families wait to pick up until 2:25 pm most of the traffic is already gone.
Please plan ahead with your child so they know where you will pick them up after school. With patience, kindness and a little pre-planning drop off and pick-up at VJH will be smooth for the 2025-2026 school year!
