Become a Volunteer with Alta Loma School District
Supporting Our Students and Inspiring Learners for a Lifetime
First and foremost, thank you for the incredible dedication you show to our students and school community. Your time, care and support make a meaningful difference throughout our District, and we are truly grateful for your continued partnership.
With California's approval of Senate Bill 848 (SB 848), new statewide safety requirements and trainings are now in place for all school volunteers. To help ensure the safety of our students, all volunteers must complete the steps outlined below, before volunteering on our campuses.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of volunteer applications and are working diligently to process each one as quickly as possible. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days for your application to be reviewed and processed. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Live Scan Fingerprinting
The cost associated with the "Request for Live Scan" is incurred by the volunteer.
Results usually come in 3-5 business days; however delays may occur which prolong result times.
You may use any service provider you choose. Click here for a local option.
Upload a copy of your completed "Request for Live Scan" form (signed by the service provider) to your Volunteer Clearance Application.
TB Test/ Risk Assessment Form
The cost associated with the "TB Test or TB Risk Assessment Form" is incurred by the volunteer.
TB Test is preferred, or you can also complete the TB Risk Assessment Form.
TB Risk Assessment Form must be completed by a medical care provider, and using the medical provider's stamp . For an example of a completed form click here.
Upload a copy of your completed test or form (signed by a medical care provider) to your Volunteer Clearance Application.
Volunteer Clearance Application
Once you have a completed "Request for Live Scan" signed by the service provider, and a completed TB Test or Risk Assessment Form signed by a medical care provider, you may submit the Volunteer Clearance Application to begin the formal application process.
Mandated Reporter Training and Maintaining Professional Staff and Student Boundaries
Under Senate Bill 848, volunteers are required to complete the Mandated Reporter Training. In addition, ALSD requires volunteers a review of Maintaining Professional Staff and Student Boundaries. Both trainings are completed through Vector Target Solutions.
After your application has been approved, you will receive an email from Vector Target Solutions with instructions to complete the required trainings.
Only after you receive the email from Vector Target Solutions will you be able to create your account.

Troubleshooting
If you receive an error stating the file is too large when uploading documents, please know that Visitor Aware is working on a resolution. In the meantime, we've found the following workaround to be very successful:
Take a screenshot of the document you need to upload.
Open the screenshot in your "photos" app and crop it so only the document is visible.
Upload the cropped screenshot instead of the original file.
Converting the document to a screenshot reduces the file size and allows the upload to go through successfully for most users.
Thank you for your patience, help, and support as we work through this new process. We truly appreciate it!
Final Clearance
Once all required steps have been completed and approved, your volunteer clearance will be finalized, and you will be eligible to volunteer on our school campuses.
We appreciate your time and support and look forward to having you as a volunteer!
