Hello Carnelian Families! We are just one week away from the start of school! We wanted to make sure that our Carnelian Superhero community is aware that the first week of school for K-5 is modified schedule. This means that dismissal will be at 1:10 p.m. every day for the first week of school. Have a great Cardinal day!

We are excited to kick off the 26-27 school year in EXPLORE! EXPLORE provides students with engaging enrichment opportunities, academic support, and a safe, welcoming environment outside of the regular school day.

Here are a few great opportunities to support our Carnelian Cardinals this summer while getting great deals on Carnelian Spirit Wear, merchandise and local services. We appreciate the ongoing support and generosity of our community!

Have a GREAT Cardinal Summer everyone! The office will open July 20th and the first day of school is August 3rd. Next year, Carnelian Cardinals will get to share their superpowers! Our theme will be "Many Superpowers, One School". Wishing our community of superheroes a fantastic summer break!

Hello Carnelian Community! The last day of school is one week from today! Our 4th grade Trimester Awards assembly is Monday, May 18th at 8:15 a.m. Our 5th grade Completion Awards Ceremony is Wednesday, May 20th at 8:15 a.m., followed by the school wide high five tunnel. Parking will be impacted by these special events. 5th Grade Families can park on the field May 20th. We look forward to celebrating our Cardinals as we wrap up another year!

We look forward to seeing our Cardinal Community this Thursday! Carnelian Band Performance is at 5:15 p.m. in the MPR. Don't miss out on this excellent night to showcase our Cardinals!

Carnelian Community-remember this week we shower our teachers with love and gratitude for Teacher Appreciation Week! Let's start by bringing them a snack or sweet treat tomorrow! Tomorrow is also May the 4th be with you! Wear your Star Wars shirts as we kick off Teacher Appreciation Week!

Don't forget Cardinals! Tomorrow, March 27th is 1:10 dismissal for grades K-5. Have a great Spring Break and we will return on Monday, April 6th!

The PTA Nomination Committee is now accepting nominations for 2026-27 Board and Committee Chair positions. PTA leaders play an important role in supporting our students, families, and school community.

You may nominate another parent/guardian or nominate yourself. All nominees will be contacted to confirm their interest before the election.

Next week, we are also celebrating Read Across America! Our Library Media Clerk, Erika Ellis, has planned Spirit Days and invited very special guest readers to come to Carnelian to read to our classes. We will have a fun week ahead!

Hello Carnelian Community! Next week is parent conference week. Students in grades K-5 will be on a modified schedule Tuesday through Friday. Dismissal will be at 1:10 all 4 days.

Carnelian Community-please visit the Lost and Found website set up by Mrs. Large. Clothing items have been catalogued and once you see an item that belongs to your child, come to the Carnelian office and we can help you find it! Carnelian will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge Jan 26-30! Join us as we dress for spirit days, while also doing a small act of kindness each day next week!
