We are incredibly proud of our Alta Loma students who represented their schools and our district with confidence, professionalism, and heart! Congratulations to Mikayla Constanza from Stork Elementary for earning first place, and Oliver Alvarez from Jasper Elementary for taking third place. What an incredible accomplishment! The amazing shake challenges students to demonstrate poise, communication, skills, and leadership through real world scenarios. Mikayla and Oliver truly rose to the occasion. Way to make Alta Loma proud 🤩❤️

Last night, innovation was on full display at our Alta Loma School District STEM fairs. Hosted at Stork and Alta Loma El, both campuses were filled with energy, curiosity, and incredible student thinking! At Stork, we welcomed students from Hermosa, Stork, and Banyan. Across town at Alta Loma Elementary, students from Alta Loma, Carnelian, and Jasper proudly showcased their projects. A special thank you to Trustee Hurley for taking the time to attend and support our students, along with Superintendent Smith and Assistant Superintendent Cerecerez. Thank you to our site leaders, teachers, families, and volunteers who made these evenings possible. We are so proud of our young scientists and engineers.

Today's Superintendent's Student Advisory meeting was a great reminder of why student voice matters so much in the Alta Loma School District. A huge thank you to Mr. Carter for serving as our special guest and leading an important conversation about our school safety plans. He walked our students through key components of the plan, explained how decisions are made, and most importantly, created space for thoughtful feedback. I am equally proud of our student leaders. They asked insightful questions, shared honest perspectives, and offered constructive ideas to help us continue strengthening safety across our schools. Their engagement and maturity truly reflect the incredible students we serve! When adults and students work together, we build safer, stronger schools. ❤️❤️❤️

A late post, but a GREAT post! On Thursday last week, we had the honor and privilege to welcome Alta Loma Junior High’s newest Warriors, our inaugural group, the VERY FIRST group of 6th graders to ever attend Glimpse at THE Alta Loma Junior High! 💙💥 It was powerful, truly an amazing moment. In addition to our 6th grade students, our group of 6th grade teachers joined in on the fun, getting to know our students and school. This was a monumental moment in ALJH & ALSD history. We are excited to begin this journey and have our newest Warriors join us and we look forward to welcoming them on campus in the fall. It’s going to be great!

It was such a great morning visiting several of our school sites and depts. with President Rebecca Davies, and Trustees Brad Buller and Dr. Malinda Hurley. It is always wonderful to meet and greet with our extraordinary staff members, break bread and sip coffee with them, and just enjoy one another’s company. We are truly blessed to serve such a wonderful educational environment. We are looking forward to visiting many more sites tomorrow! ❤️
