Dr. Pierce was selected out of 40 nominees for this prestigious award! She's representing Alta Loma school district, San Bernardino county, and the state of California! Well deserved Dr. Pierce! 👏🎉

A visit with the Hermosa Huskies came with an extra special surprise: Dr. Smith ran into two of her student advisors! We are excited to announce the first LCAP Committee meeting of the school year! Associate Superintendent Hart, Director of Assessment, Accountability, and Instruction Mrs. Cruz, and Director of Educational Programs Mr. Carter welcomed a dedicated group of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members who will play an important role in shaping the future of our schools. This committee will lead the work of developing a new three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), beginning next school year. Through collaboration, shared ideas, and a commitment to student success, this group will help identify priorities, strategies, and goals that will support our students, families, and school communities. Thank you to everyone who is dedicating their time, voice, and expertise to this important work. We look forward to the collaboration and progress ahead!

What a wonderful and successful Family Enrichment Day! Our site enrichment coordinators came together to create fun, engaging, and meaningful activities for students and families, making the day a memorable experience for everyone. The Chess Tournament was once again a tremendous success, with more than 120 participants coming together to play, compete, and showcase their skills. Congratulations to every student who participated, and a special congratulations to those who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Well done! A special thank you to our Educational Services Department for putting together another outstanding event and creating opportunities for our students and families to learn, connect, and celebrate together. We are also grateful to Vineyard for hosting us, our Parent Ambassadors for supporting our families, and all of the teachers and staff who took time to be part of this special day. Thank you to everyone who helped make Family Enrichment Day such a success!

Great things are happening at Carnelian Elementary everyday! Students get to engage with science of reading, rigorous math lessons, PBIS, MTSS and W.I. N. Time, and so much more! That you Cardinals for all you do to support our learners for a lifetime! ❤️

Executive Cabinet had a wonderful visit to Banyan Elementary! 🤩 The Bulldogs were busy learning math concepts, engaging in the science of reading, and practicing their cursive! Dr. Smith also got to connect with her 5th grade student advisor. ❤️ Thank you Principal Travis for hosting. Our Banyan students and families are in exceptionally good hands!

Jasper held their first Family Engagement Night and it was a HUGE success! 🤩 Thank you Jasper staff, parents, 1,2,3 Andres and the broader community! The donations, ongoing support and planning that was given to make this night so successful is deeply appreciated. ❤️ Shoutout to Trustees Hurley, Martinez, Chung and Buller for participating in the fun. Also, thank you Mayor Pro Tem Lynne Kennedy for joining in the activities as well! What a great evening it was!

What an inspiring student presentation led by Principal Bires and teacher, Mrs. Knickerbocker! Our Stork Superstars had the opportunity to showcase their micro:bits skills, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and some seriously impressive tech know-how. A special shout-out to our Stork Student Senate as well! They did an amazing job highlighting the safe, welcoming, and inclusive campus environment at Stork and sharing the positive experiences that make our school such a special place to learn and grow. 💙 We are so proud of our students for using their voices, sharing their talents, and helping make Stork a place where everyone belongs and every student can shine! 🌟
