Safety is always a top priority in the Alta Loma School District. During this year's Great Shakeout, our district activated its Emergency Operations Center to practice coordinating an effective response to a major earthquake or other emergency. Our district leadership team worked together to strengthen communication, practice emergency procedures, and ensure we are ready to support our schools, students, staff, and families when it matters most.
A big thank you to our dedicated team members who take emergency preparedness seriously, and work behind the scenes to keep our school community safe. Because being prepared today makes all the difference tomorrow!
A heartfelt thank you to the city of Rancho Cucamonga for bringing the All Kids Bike program to our kindergarten students at Victoria Groves Elementary! What an incredible gift that will help our youngest Grizzlies, build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the joy of learning to ride! We were thrilled to celebrate the big bike reveal with Mayor Pro Tem Lynne Kennedy, Councilwoman Kristine Scott, and the many wonderful city of Rancho Cucamonga staff members who helped to make this possible. We are so grateful for a community that continues to invest in our students and create opportunities for them to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you, Rancho Cucamonga, for putting our little Grizzlies on the road to success!

ALSD is very proud to recognize our own Dr. Christina Pierce for being named the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) 2026 Exemplary Women in Education Award winner. Dr. Pierce was selected out of 40 nominees for this prestigious award! She's representing Alta Loma school district, San Bernardino county, and the state of California! Well deserved Dr. Pierce! 👏🎉

Associate Superintendent Hart, Director of Assessment, Accountability, and Instruction Mrs. Cruz, and Director of Educational Programs Mr. Carter welcomed a dedicated group of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members who will play an important role in shaping the future of our schools.
This committee will lead the work of developing a new three-year Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), beginning next school year. Through collaboration, shared ideas, and a commitment to student success, this group will help identify priorities, strategies, and goals that will support our students, families, and school communities.
Thank you to everyone who is dedicating their time, voice, and expertise to this important work. We look forward to the collaboration and progress ahead!
What a wonderful and successful Family Enrichment Day!
Our site enrichment coordinators came together to create fun, engaging, and meaningful activities for students and families, making the day a memorable experience for everyone.
The Chess Tournament was once again a tremendous success, with more than 120 participants coming together to play, compete, and showcase their skills. Congratulations to every student who participated, and a special congratulations to those who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Well done!
A special thank you to our Educational Services Department for putting together another outstanding event and creating opportunities for our students and families to learn, connect, and celebrate together.
We are also grateful to Vineyard for hosting us, our Parent Ambassadors for supporting our families, and all of the teachers and staff who took time to be part of this special day.
